Happy diwali

“May this rich blessing be your due, a wealth of friendship, old and new. Some service rendered, some solace given, and gentle peace with god and heaven. Heartfelt wishes for you and your family on the eve of Diwali”

November is here and December would be here soon. New Year would begin in a month life would get new turns. New wishes, New Year, new life and new time.

But would we also change?

Have we changed in past so many year? Maybe we have! Maybe we have become just more mean and selfish. We care more about us than anyone else. But don’t we make this Diwali a lovely one for everyone even the animals. High-decibel noise during festivals like Diwali can be very traumatic for animals. Children think its fun to throw crackers at them and watch the poor animals suffer. Parents should prevent kids from doing this. We as sensible human should teach them right things.

The another most shocking aspect of Diwali is child labor. Child labor has been prevalent in India since the time of inception of industries. Most of the child labor is employed in hazardous industries like fireworks, match-box, stone quarry, gems cutting and polishing, bangle making and glass industry, brick kilns, etc. In Sivakasi, the biggest cracker industry in India, forced child labor is a depressing reality. Instead of enjoying their childhood and getting educated, these children are living a life of bondage and slavery. It is probably hard to imagine Diwali without the noise and glitter of crackers. Every year, millions of people purchase so many crackers. With the increase in demand of fireworks, not only in number but also in variety, there is an increase in the number of children forced into making them. Every firework you burn has been made by those tiny hands whose future has been dragged into doom. They pollute our environment. Any serious mishap with fireworks can cost you your life! Millions of children are forced to work for making them. Many of these children die due to one or the other mishap or some health hazard due to working with poisonous chemicals.

Suppose every Indian spends Rs. 1 on fireworks, as India has population of approximately 1.21 billion people, this means that Rs. 1.21 billion are wasted on fireworks alone, every year!

What use are you putting your hard earned money to? Imagine what good you can do with that amount of money. A number of educational facilities and hospitals can be build, poverty can be dealt with and so much more!

Next time you light fire to a cracker remember there is a poor child whose education you could have funded with that money or at least you could have saved their childhood from those dingy, dark, claustrophobic rooms where they are work tirelessly to fulfill your demands.

Don’t do this to them. Don’t burst crackers this Diwali. Gift them food and new clothes shower your love on them this Diwali. Life doesn’t always give us second chance to be noble. Take every chance because nobleness is the wisdom of heart.

I know you guys listen to the same things every year save environment and all. But stop for moment and think this is your environment your world if you don’t take care of it no one is gonna do this for you.

Animals need our love if you try to be animal lover think about them. That noise, that smell, they don’t like it either.

Try something new this Diwali.

Try becoming different this Diwali.

BE THE CHANGE TO SEE THE CHANGE.

Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you're using? I'm looking to start my own blog in the near future but I'm having a hard time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something completely unique. P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
