The economic trail

E.P. Anthony, an economist, trader and wealth manager focuses on the political economy of inequality and the decline of centre-left parties in the developed world in this manifesto. His analysis will especially appeal to readers in the Anglo-Saxon economies of the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand where inequality has increased most rapidly.

The manifesto summarizes recent literature on inequality in an accessible way, including the best-selling books by Thomas Piketty, Chrystia Freeland, and Joseph Stiglitz. However, while those books provide great analysis, Anthony proposes solutions, including how to: prevent another global financial crisis; stimulate economic productivity and growth; and take wide-ranging action to reduce inequality.

The author first gives a walk-through of various economic terms such as perfect competition, oligopoly and monopolistic markets, then turn to use the impact of globalization, other various socio-political factors such as trade unions, shareholder values and other externalities like pollution. The book tries to explain the causes of inequalities in countries' economies and then tries to give solutions by providing information about various helpful policies. Finally, it provides with data that the government spend on their campaigns and how to reduce these huge amounts.

When it comes to writing a review of the political drama, it becomes very difficult for us since there are many aspects that go overboard. This book has done justice to all of that. While reading a book of a certain genre it becomes very important for us that we know some aspects or words before starting so that we will be able to get what’s inside the book.

In this book, we see that the writer has written all the words with their meaning so that it becomes easy as well as interesting for the reader to get into the game. The writer has talked about economics and different terms are given by a famous economist. The book is based on economic value and why inequality has been a problem for many. The writer has very deeply talked about the problems and given his solution to the problem.

He has talked about almost all the sector in the economy that affects the population either directly or indirectly. All over it is a book for every person who has a lot of interest in politics and economic development.  There are people who enjoy fiction and other genre so, for them it might be little dragging but if they read it with all their heart, it will be the book for them.
